Steinlog vs Brainial:
which fits a construction bid team?

Brainial (NL) sells explainable-AI tender analysis under the line "Outthink. Outsmart. Outbid." It has one of the strongest public proof stacks we found among NL tender-software vendors, with named, time-quantified testimonials from large contractors. Brainial presents itself as cross-industry tender software; we did not find public materials naming construction-specific artifacts such as inschrijvingsstaat or RAW/STABU BoQs. As of July 2026, based on public materials.

Said plainly

What Brainial is good at.

Honest comparisons name the other side's real strengths. Here is where Brainial earns it.

  • +

One of the strongest public proof stacks we found among NL tender-software vendors: named customers with time-quantified results, not generic logos.

  • +

"Explainable AI" is a real trust posture — Brainial shows its reasoning rather than asking for blind trust in a score.

  • +

Backed by a March 2025 growth round, which buys them runway to keep building horizontally.

The trade

Where Steinlog is different.

Not a superset of Brainial — a different shape, built around the full journey from a found tender through to submission readiness.

  • The full bid journey in one place — found, qualified, assembled and carried through to submission readiness — not just document analysis at the front end.

  • Construction-native formats handled natively: inschrijvingsstaat, RAW/STABU bills of quantities, UEA, and Nota van Inlichtingen tracking.

  • Consortium data rooms for multi-partner bids, a case Brainial’s public materials do not address.

  • Ireland (EU) assistant inference and a per-client EU database, argued at the architecture level, not just a policy statement.

  • /start: connect a live TenderNed tender and generate an initial bid plan in the product — no demo call required to see value.

Verdict

Steinlog vs Brainial.

Brainial has built one of the deepest proof stacks and the most explainable AI story we found in the category — worth a serious look if you want a horizontal analysis tool and are comfortable with a demo-gated sales process. Steinlog is narrower and newer, but it is built end-to-end for construction bid teams: the same tool that reads the tender also tracks the addendum, runs the consortium data room, and carries the bid through preparation for submission.
