What this BOQ viewer does

This free tool reads a Polish przedmiar or kosztorys — in Excel (.xlsx) or the .ath format used by Polish costing software — and renders it as a clean bill of quantities with item codes, descriptions, quantities and units. It runs in your browser; the file is parsed in your session and never stored. We then email you a normalized Excel export you can reuse across estimates.

Polish BOQ (przedmiar / kosztorys) — FAQ

What is a przedmiar and a kosztorys?

A przedmiar robót is the bill of quantities for construction works — the list of items, quantities and units to be priced. A kosztorys is the priced estimate built on top of it. Polish costing tools export both as .xlsx or in the proprietary .ath format. This tool reads either and shows a clean table.

What is an .ath file?

An .ath file is the native exchange format produced by Polish costing software such as Norma. It holds the przedmiar/kosztorys structure. Most spreadsheet apps cannot open it directly, so this tool reads it and converts it into a normalized Excel workbook you can actually use.

Is this tool free?

Yes. Reading your file on screen is free with no account. You only enter an email to receive the normalized Excel export. The file you upload is parsed in your browser session and is never stored on our servers.

Is my file uploaded or kept?

No. The workbook is parsed in memory in your browser session and is never written to our servers. We keep only a small non-personal summary, such as the item count. Your email is used solely to deliver the export.

Does it work with German GAEB files too?

This viewer is for Polish przedmiar/kosztorys files. For German GAEB DA-XML award files (.x83), use our GAEB .x83 viewer, which reads that format and exports it to Excel the same way. One bill-of-quantities model, two national formats.

What file size is supported?

Up to 4 MB per file, which covers the large majority of przedmiar and kosztorys workbooks. For a larger file, split it into parts or get in touch with us.
